Loved this one!!!!!! I was feeling way under the weather that night and canceled my plans to attend so I am especially glad to get your beautiful accounting of such a memorable night. Just wish I could have been there in person, but reading your post was the next best thing to actually being there.

For a Yankee like me, experiencing life in southwest Louisiana is a life altering experience. Mardi Gras in and around Lafayette this year was a succession of memorable dances, parades, parties,and most of all, the friendliest, most down to earth people I've ever met. The first thing I think about every time I come home from Louisiana - how soon can I return?
