Ms Picket To You

I stumbled upon your site in that random way the web allows. What a pleasure! Your commentaries on kids, 9/11, Joan Didion made my day. I am the mother of a third grader and I only wish you were still teaching -- in my town. What a gift you must have been to your students (and their parents)! Thank you for adding so well to my day.

You know, I just spent my first waking minutes reading an E.B. White essay written in 1941. It was a lovely and graceful thing and reminded me, once again, of why I am happy to be a writer. Now here is this delightful effort of yours, and it had the same effect on me. Good job.

Great blog.  Smaack.  You're hitting home runs.
