Thanks, nice to know music is alive and growing somewhere.

Paul aka pt at large

New Orleans, especially in the French Quarter (and often on Frenchman Street), is one of the premier spots in the US of A to hear all sorts of lively, eclectic, playful, unusual music right on the street.
A local blogger I met at Satchmo SummerFest said "They play to make money with tips but they just can't not play. Many of them play in different bands, they don't resent playing, they just have to make music."
