Wow, if anyone had doubt about how deep Cajun culture runs in southwest Louisiana, one click on this site will dispel that notion. This site is a mother lode of information about events, song lyrics, Cajun French language, tourism, festivals, radio programs.... and more.

Great post. I see some dancers I saw there in 2009, 2006, and 2005. Is this a new location? It looks like the old one from the pictures. Thanks, Bill

Bill, I saw local dancers I'd seen on previous trips to the Rock 'n' Bowl plus dancers who came from afar. I'm not surprised you recognized many of them. As you know,dancing is a life style that is many a New Orleanian's blood stream.

This is the new Rock 'n' Bowl with a new floor plan. It's still a combination of bowling lanes and dancing but the dance floor is much larger as is the stage. The bar in the photo is U shaped and well stocked.
I have a half finished story from my first visit to the new one, will send you a link when I'm done.
