Looks like fun!

May Louise White

Hi Paul,

Just loved this posting. I have been to Jerry's party every year since he first hosted it. It is always FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!! You really captured the spirit of the event. Made me happy just remembering how much I enjoyed this party and reliving some of my best dances. Besides the two times you mentioned, tons of out of town dancers also descend on Lafayette for the week between Christmas and New Year's. But, as you have discovered we have lots of dances to choose from every weekend, even when there is nothing special going on. I love living here!

Those "best dances" are so unpredictable, like lightning bolts in a summer storm, they can strike anywhere. And they get your attention.
I get why you love living there, May Louise...same thing happens to me when I visit on a 'normal' weekend, although Im beginning to doubt that there is a 'normal' in a southwest Louisiana weekend.
Thanks for reminding me that the week between Christmas and New Year's are two other times people from around the country descend on the Lafayette area.
