Way cool!

Paul aka pt at large

Hey glad you liked the video. I took it on the fly while walking from one end of the plaza in front of St Louis Cathedral to the other end. The trumpet sounded familiar as I approached the far end.

Sure enough, there was Kenneth Terry, the guy who fronts the Treme Brass Band playing and singing up a storm , today with the Young Fellas Brass Band. The usual thing, these guys play with as much gusto whether there are 5 or 50 spectators. I hollered to Kenneth between songs, he recognized me, gave me a fist bump and said hello. I dropped some folding money into the pail and waved to the band, another bunch of musicians trying to make a living in NOLA.

Lord knows how many gigs these guys would have today either as a group or playing with other bands or maybe even by themselves on a street corner.
