And a Good time was had by all…...

You betcha. And I learned a bunch more about Louisiana music history.

Jeffrey Broussard is one of my favorite musicians, as is D'Jalma Garnier, who used to play the fiddle band in the fabulous band called File (fe-lay). This group disbanded and changed some of their members, calling themselves The Lucky Playboys. However, this group just never took off and they have not had a gig in a number of years. Sad to say.....I do miss them.

At first I was amazed you had even heard of D'Jalma Garnier. This is a perfect example of SW Louisiana zydeco and cajun music - which is so interconnected: musicians, bands, audiences and all their families.I read that D'Jalma played with The Lucky Playboys (doncha love the names of these bands?). The band may have disbanded but the musicians are still playing. Laissez la musique roulez...
