The great grandmother (and first) of all bike ride fund raising events in the country...maybe even the world, for the ALS cause!
Message from Special Events Coordinator Ashley Corbin...
"It is hard to begin to find the words to express the genuine appreciation and thankfulness that we have for each of you who participated in our 2019 Ride to Defeat ALS. Yesterday was an incredible day from start to finish and each of you who were with us yesterday - whether you were a rider, volunteer, family member or part of someone's cheer squad, you all made the day the most memorable ride that we have ever had!! It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, and see the hugs that were given out as if it was a large family reunion - and that is what we are, we are a family in this fight together!! The bar was set high for this year, and you all took on that goal and did an incredible job making this event a huge success!! With our 48 teams, and a total of 305 riders, you all not only reached the $260,000 goal but went over the goal at $270,000 and counting!!
The amount of love, encouragement and hope was present in every part of the day, and we have all of you to thank for being there and pouring your hearts in to this ride. The sun was shining down on our celebration of 25 years of riding to end ALS, and we cherish the memories we shared with all of you yesterday, and we look forward to many more in the future!! We would also like to thank our wonderful photographer Jarvis for capturing the day for us - here is the link to his photos from this year! 2019 Ride to Defeat ALS
From the bottom of my heart, and from all off us at the MA ALS Association - THANK YOU!!!!
Love, Ashley Corbin and MA ALS Association Staff
